With the rapid advancement of information technology, two key concepts—3D applications and infrastructure—have emerged and gained widespread attention:

  • 3D applications are complex visualized information systems built on advanced visualization technologies. Essentially, they represent a new form of internet media that provides users with immersive and interactive experiences.

  • Infrastructure refers to the underlying computational network that powers 3D applications. It is fundamentally a decentralized computing framework that ensures the efficient allocation and trustless execution of computational resources.

The technology stack for both 3D applications and infrastructure is continuously evolving. As these two components integrate and co-develop, they are reshaping the internet’s media landscape—transitioning from 2D to 3D, and shifting from centralized to decentralized operations. This transformation leads to the creation of a novel decentralized 3D computing ecosystem, where front-end user experiences and back-end computing power networks work in synergy. This ecosystem is what we define as the Digital Parallel World. So, how should we understand the concept of a Digital Parallel World?

We believe that the Digital Parallel World is a virtual-physical integrated, intelligent, and decentralized 3D information system. It can also be understood as an internet medium that exists on an equal dimensional level with our real world, embodying characteristics such as fairness and transparency. It integrates real-time cloud rendering technology for 3D applications with the decentralized infrastructure architecture of Web3.0, widely incorporating technological innovations such as spatial computing, cloud computing, blockchain, and artificial intelligence. It provides a realistic, three-dimensional, highly immersive, and interactive sensory experience while empowering economic activities through mechanisms that ensure data ownership, traceability, and transparency. In this Digital Parallel World, every individual is not only an experiencer and user but also a creator and contributor, collectively driving the development of 3D computing and decentralized technologies to build the next-generation internet infrastructure.
